Picture This

I gave Fishboy full control of the digicam Thursday afternoon.  I swear, I've tried a bazillion times to get close to the swarms of dragonflies I see on a daily basis at the dogpark.  They flitter around so fast, I can hardly focus my eyes on them - never mind trying with the camera.  Fishboy captured one in just a day.

I love all the pictures he took. Look at our HunnyBunny.  She was willing to pose this time.  She's practically laughing.  That close-up of Otis was taken in the PeaceMobile.  It cracks me up.  He's so damn cute.  When Fishboy saw the pomeranian, he said, "I'm gonna get a picture of the Opie-dog."  And what a great picture it is.

Check out that action shot of the chocolate lab at the bottom. She's a ball-chasing pro.  Fishboy captured the very moment she dove for the ball.  All four paws are off the ground.  And if you look closely, you'll see the ball is securely in her jaws.

He took some video footage of playtime too.  But, unfortunately, my computer is still not cooperating.  So, those will have to wait. [but not for long]

Running is a labrador's art.  Everytime I see Ladybelle, our black lab, take off through a field,I'm just humbled at her beauty.

I think you need to let fishboy use the camera more often, the boy has talent.  I loved the pictures.  The lab is great, and Hunny laughing ~ priceless!

Either Fishboy has talent or these are just about the cutest pups in the entire world!

TARA - SayCheeseBoy (cute).  Otis has the greatest smooshy pug face - and the personality to match.

SISTERCDR - So true about labs.  Gorgeous creatures when running.

COY - Fishboy will be happy to see the results of his work. :)

OLDDOG - I hear ya on that one sir!  Kids are amazing.  No inhibitions.  They just go for it.

DIANNE - Leave it to you to "caption" the picture!  lol - It IS a great pic huh?

BARBIE - Aww, thanks.  That's really nice to hear.  love to you too. :)

YAKIMA - Thanks sweetie.

VINCE - I *knew* you'd be especially pleased to see a Hunny picture!  I put her first in line, just for you. :)

MONICA - I agree.  My intention is to get him his own camera one day.  But for now, I love that he enjoys experimenting with mine.  And I agree, he has talent.

REDHDKA - I think it's a little of both. ;)

HEARTSINGR - I don't think I've ever captured that specific expression on Hunny's face.  Fishboy rocks!

MARY [alphawoman] - I agree.  He's quite a talent on many levels.

PHINNEY - I learn a lot from him.  Maybe he can teach me some of his skills. ;)

RYANAGI - I'm looking forward to hearing what he thinks of his art.  I did very little editing.  But he captured every moment.

MIA - Fishboy has always loved taking pictures.  It's a joy to watch kids discover themselves through various forms of art.  My computer will be taking a much needed rest come Tuesday night. ;)

What great photos! I've been reading for awhile, but I am in awe with how much you just love these dogs! I thought I was the *only* one who was in love with my pets!  And these aren't even yours! Except Hunny, correct?
Hope you have a great weekend!

dogs I've ever seen!  She's adorable Trish!

Surely there's a market for all these great pictures. A doggie magazine, at least!

Looks like a fun day. :-)

Kids have an eye for photography, and they don't even know it. I have a picture that Alexa took last weekend that I think is pretty cool. It's of my dad and it's just funny to see him how she sees him. (no wonder she's leary of him!! haha)

I love that picture of Hunny!! It IS like she's laughing. Very, very cute! And that picture of the airborne dog is amazing. That's an awesome shot!

Hope you're having a good weekend!

Hunny and Opie [opie, right?] are totally smiling.  Otis is just trying to look cool.  ROFL.  Wacky animals with their wacky faces!  LOL

love those pictures.  Fishboy has a natural talent!  And the chocolate lab shot is really awesome!   Great job Fishboy :D

freeepeace said...

HEATHYR - Correct, Hunny is my only-dog-child.  And my love for these creatures is semi-newly discovered.  I used to be afraid of dogs...especially big dogs.  And now, I can't get enough of 'em. :)

CONNIE - I have to agree with you about Hunny.  She's totally the cutest EVER.  And she has the personality to match.  When I told Fishboy I haven't been able to get a dragonfly on camera, he was determined.  [only took him 15 minutes-ish.  Love that boy.

IRUN - Yeah, dragonflies are beautiful.  And this particular one stood out in the crowd.

MARGO - I love Fishboy as much as I know how to love.  He's an amazing being.

freeepeace said...

ROBBIE - All we have to do is give kids access to different creative outlets.  They take off from there.  I love how you think Hunny's so lovable - I mean, she is.  But you know, there's that 'other' personality of hers.  LOL

STACY - Thanks.

SLOMO - Ha!  Zoooooommm... thanks for the drive-by. :P

SHARKY - Yeah, great pictures taken by a great kid.  He *still* hasn't seen these.  I need to send them to him ... right now! :)

freeepeace said...

SARAH - LOL - Otis the pimpin pup.  Too funny!

DONNA - Maybe I'll encourage him to submit his photos to some doggie publications. :)

MELISSA - Awe, I agree - so cute.  Each day they get cuter and cuter.

MALLORY - Seeing life through a young one's eyes is always wonderful and amazing.  Hope you had a nice weekend.

MUMSY - Best action shot I've seen!

ANN - Me too.  Fishboy will be happy to see the results on screen.
