Computer Crash

Mercury is certainly in retrograde.  I'm always affected in one way or another.  This time it has hit my computer.  I can hardly do a thing with it.  I haven't posted an entry because I've spent the last two days struggling with computer issues.

Wish me luck.  I'm using the Restore CD to basically 'start over'.  I've made a backup of MOST of my files.  But because the process is so dang slow, I had to take what I could get.

I may lose everything - including my mind!  I've completely misplaced the software for my digicam.  That's the biggest drag of all.  Will this render my camera useless?  How will I upload pictures?  I guess I just have to trust it'll all work out.

There's so much I want to share from this past weekend - stories, pictures, etc.  But I'm limited on time with this (borrowed) computer.

OK, the Restore CD just finished doing its thing on my computer ...  HOPEFULLY I'll be back very soon!

Positive vibes please!

You know what?  Mercury isn't working for you.  See what Jupiter is up to...I mean, really, what does it ever do?

Sending prayers your way (and good vibes, too)!  ~Peachy

POSITIVE VIBES being sent to Freee!
We had to do that, not too long ago. I contacted  the Dell people, whom we got the computer from and they gave me this like...36 step program.  It worked wonders.
good luck!!

Oh Trish, bless your heart!  I had to do the same thing
to my computer last week!  I had to reload Windows,
and AOL completely!  I lost a lot of my saved mail, which
was not a good thing...but everything else was there!
I wish you good luck!

Hope the recovery worked. You can always download your camera software from the mfg's website. No biggie there. -B

When my computer crashed I ran out and purchased another.  Yet, I had so much stuff on the old reliable (till then) Dell, that I bit the bullet and for about $100 had it totally fixed!  Now I have two!

Oh nooooooooo Freee!!  Last time I had computer problems I was out of commission for almost a month!  Hoping that your problems are resolved much quicker, fingers & toes crossed that your restore CD works.  Can't wait to hear about your road trip with Robbie and the dogs....

OH NO!!! ::::saying sweet things to my computer right now:::::

The VP at work said the same thing about Mercury being in retrograde. I think I need to pay attention to that little planet. He sure does cause problems. I've been wondering why you weren't posting an entry. I was dieing to read your take on everything. We shouldn't have talked badly about your 'puter. Maybe we cursed it.

I felt guilty that maybe me emailing the pics to you is what did it. So....I came up with the brilliant idea to copy them to a CD instead of emailing them all to you. I don't know if I'll have the chance to get them to you before Friday. So, I'll drop them in the mail. Good luck!

:-) ---Robbie

When that happened to me I just borrowed the software from a friend. He had the exact same digicam as me. I couldn't live without my computer...and at the same time I hate the bugger. Jesse

Ommm... it'll all work out.  Keep looking for the camera software.  There are certainly other programs that should let you upload your photos, but I think zoom-browser is still the easiest to use.  I had problems with zoom-browser before and had to try using another prog to upload my pics.  Ick!  Mess!  Good luck!!  Good vibes!!  :D

OH that is so terrible!  I get all freaky anytime I suspect something is wrong with my computer.  But I'm guessing by later entries that everything turned out okay.
