New 'do

Here's how the new 'do looks tonight.  Most likely it will look 14 different ways in the next 14 days. It takes about two full weeks before my hair relaxes into a new cut. Lots of layers and check out these long bangs!  When was the last time I had bangs?  We'll see how I feel about them in two weeks. Just when my hair starts getting used to the cut, I start to freak out about it.

At least now I won't have to wear braids for tomorrow's gig.  Still not sure which songs to play.  There's a good chance the post-office-percussionist will be playing with me.  We've never practiced together.  But he's excited to jam on the two songs.  He's agreed to play percussion on my new album too.  So all around, this is exciting.

I got a couple of referrals for dogwalking and pet sitting today.  Say prayers, light candles, chant, sing, whatever will help keep that energy open.  I'd much rather take new dog clients than have to get a part-time job.

But I do have an interview on Thursday from one of the ads I replied to last night.  The woman actually called me, excited to meet with me. [no resume request]  She's an Animal Lawyer looking for a part-time nanny for her 20 month old daughter, four afternoons a week - in her office.  She said I could bring Hunny [depending on circumstances].  I'll meet with her but I have to be up front with her about my intentions.  When my dog business picks up, I don't plan on keeping a part-time job. But that could be soon to never.

I watched American Idol tonight. Yeah, I'm hooked. I don't mind. They're down to the final ten. And in my opinion, it doesn't matter who wins. They're all superstars. They've received more exposure than many pop stars in the last month. And frankly, I would hope to come in second. The winner will get more exposure but s/he will be at the mercy of Simon [Coward] Cowell, and his production company.  And I'm pretty sure Kelly Clarkson is still waiting for the big financial payoff.  My fave: Diana DeGarmo.  My pick for first place: Fantasia Barrino

Hey Freee. Love the cut, I especially love the bangs:-) Can't wait to hear about the gig. Have fun. Keeping as much energy going as possible hoping that some new dog clients come your way. And I must say that the interview does seem interesting. It might work out if only for a limited time. You'll know if it's right. I too indulged in :The Idol. Simon seems to be particularly biting to these contestants. The novelty has definitel worn off with him. Well see ya next time,Hugs~RC

Came here hoping to see the new-do! Love it! Bangs are SO in again and I'm thinking about the same thing. You have such an adorable face, you can wear pretty much any style you like. I'm hooked on AI too! Simon is so cruel. a simple, you need to work on this or that would suffice.

Aaacck!! I'm so far behind here and not enough time to comment. Gotta get ready for work. But, I wanted to wish you well tonight. I'm so pumped that I'll get to see you play. Have a blast!!! :-) ---Robbie

Heyyyy...love the new "do". Mikey (19 months old) was sitting on my lap & when he saw your pic he said "baby". I asked him where the baby was, and he pointed at your pic and said "baby"...lol... A little Freee fan. Good luck at your gig tomorrow, betting all will go great. I think Fantasia Barrino will go all the way, she's already a superstar, just needed the exposure. Speaking of exposure did you see Janet J. on David Letterman?

I love the new 'do! I think it's wonderfully flattering. And fun!

I'll say a prayer and keep my fingers crossed that some of those dog walking leads pan out for you. That's what you REALLY want, right? :-)

Fantasia is the girl from Hawaii, right? And ... which one is Diana again? (I like the tall, skinny black girl. She ROCKS!)

Okay, I pretty much like them all.

SHARKY - Can you tape AI since you're working when it's on? Then you'll have it when you come home. Till then, we'll fill you in. :)

CARLY - Thank you...always. ;)

RC - Glad you like the bangs. I'm having a totally DIFFERENT experience of my hair this morning. Cutter's Remorse! Definitely NOT liking the bangs. Then again, I'm holding out for that 15th day!

MIA - Bangs ARE so in right now...and I'm remembering why I hated them ten years ago! About Simon - remember, it's HIS production so he's out to sway America for HIS personal choice. It's obvious he doesn't like Diana DeGarmo. Grrrr

ROBBIE - I'm only playing 2 songs tonight - and still I'm a bit of a wreck - only because I hate driving to new places in Hollywood [where to park, how long will it take for me to get there, blah blah blah]. But I expect we'll have fun tonight! I'm looking forward to the comics! :)

ANDREA - The new 'do looked flattering last night with all that product and professional touchings. Today I feel like Leather Tuskadero from Happy Days! Ick! And Fantasia is the "skinny black girl" you think rocks!

WOW! Sexy! Stylish! Love the new do & the bangs are great!!! Personally, I never quite get my hair to look as nice as it does after walking out of the beauty parlor & often kid the guy who does it that I need to take him home with me to do my hair every morning! LOL Good luck on the job interview, sweetie! {{{hugs}}} ~Aunt Nub~

MICHELLE - Aww, my first baby-freee-fan! Does that mean I look even younger with this haircut? Gig is tonight...thanks for the well-wishes! Didn't see J.J. on Letterman.

AUNT NUB - Sexy huh? Stylish too? Well, thanks! [luckily you can't see it today]. Would be nice to have a personal hairstylist every day huh? I'll keep you posted about the job-stuff.

Very cute! I like the bangs, but then again, I have bangs, so I guess I am a little biased!

Ooh! Bangs suit you, Trish! I likey a lot! I've had bangs my entire life. My face is too round to NOT have bangs.

I hope you get those dog referrals! Tonight as I listen to your CD, I'll say a prayer. Good luck on your gig! Wish I could be there. I told Robbie to take lots of pictures!

As for AI...I'm addicted too. My fave is Amy Adams but Diana DeGarbo is really great too. I have no idea who will win, but I suspect you might be right about Fantasia. Oh, the suspense!

Darlin', the hair is rockin'!!! Why don't you like it? I think it's A D O R A B L E!! Of course, it always takes a little time for you to get used to styling it, etc. Just keep at it. Give it time to "rest" because new haircuts are always *on edge* for a little while. Sounds like you've got exciting stuff happening in the career world. Go, Go, Go!! :D

Once again, your hair looks great!!! As a matter of fact, I might just take you up on getting your hairdresser's info. And, that's a huge compliment on my part. I don't let just anyone cut my hair these days. Obviously? Huh? ;-) ---Robbie

I love your hair, it becomes you!  You look, gosh, ten years younger.  It looks GOOD, really.

Glad to hear the job prospects are looking up.  If the dogwalking pans out, at least you'll have choices.  The animal lawyer sounds promising, though.  You didn't say how long she wants to hire you.  Perhaps once you're done working for her, she can be the way to networking with more dogwalking clients?

I've only seen American Idol a couple of times early on during the season so I don't really know who's who.  I heard this batch is pretty good.  I feel bad for that girl who was told by Simon Cowell that she looks like Jay Leno.  Jay Leno, sheesh!  Simon is such a bastid.

WOW! I LOVE the new cut! I agree with a previous poster -- it makes you appear  younger. It's a nice soft look. About the nanny gig, hmmm. If the referrals don't work out for dog walking, I hope you get it because I know you need the money. Honestly though, something feels odd about it to me. Not odd is in wierd, just odd as in not a good fit. I don't know why. I don't know anything about it. Just a silly thought. Good luck! (With both!)
