Getting Back On Track

Click on the image to visit Goda Yoga.

Ooooh yeah baby!  Three guesses who took a yoga class today - and the first two don't count.  Ha!  This chicky feels gooooood.  Om Shanti!

I took a beginner's class again - you know, to ease my way back in.  Still the instructor gave me modifications to make it more challenging.  I can hardly wait till my next class.

I had a liter of water and a delicious Caesar's Salad after class - then washed it all down with a mini-chocolate-bundt cake from Trader Joe's.  Oh My!  I bought them on a whim today.  That's right, them - a four-pack.  That means there are three left in the fridge.  It's the only food item I bought that I refuse to read the nutrition facts.  Anyone who posts them in comments gets booted!  Haha...so much for my Zen-like attitude.

Thanks for all the cheers and support!  Keep it up!  Gregg, any chance we can get a pic of you and your pom-poms?

Namaste

MARY - Uh-oh...What Madonna song is that? Om Shanti is Sanskrit [language]. Shanti means Peace. Om is difficult to translate in English. It's kind of like Aho in Native American or Amen. Kind of like Universal Truth. by the way, "Om Shanti" is the chant/song I sang for you and your family on Dec 19th. :)

ROBBIE - I'm afraid to ask what kind of pom-poms of Greggs you're THINKING about! :P

SLOMO - I should so boot your Pilates' buns. But now I'm just the queen of empty threats. ::sigh:: Does it help that I had an apple tonight? And I'll probably have one tomorrow, after my 2nd bundt cake! :P

SHARKY - You guys have a Trader Joe's up there right? You've gotta try these cakes. They're in the bread and pastry section. Yum! Once these are gone, I'll probably never be able to walk down that aisle again! LOL

Rock Star. It feels awesome to get back in the groove doesn't it. FreePeace Got Her Groove Back. Don't worry about the nutrition facts . . . you've got to put the calories in if your going to be burning them right . . . . .

You GO, girly-girl!

Hey, I like that logo! So the instructor who works there (Cheryl) is your best friend, right? (Way convenient to have a fitness instructor best friend.)

So. You had to mention chocolate cake, didn't you? I am DYING for chocolate cake, bundt, devil or otherwise. Actually, lately I've been dying to eat just about anything. That's the bad part about working out. It's makes me HONGRY. Dammit.

RC - Woohoo - can hardly wait to take a class today!

MICHELLE - Yogurt, LOL. Oooh yeah, I forgot there's a TJ's by you! Go there girl! Make that your next "me time" event! Let's see the pics, pom-pom girl! [I was one for a minute, too...shhhh]

MIA - Sure, I'm happy to share one of the cakes with you! Come over for yoga and bundt cake! Ommm-mmm-good!

IRUN - I understand I need the calories to burn - but I *think* I'm supposed to eat them BEFORE a workout. :P In yoga, you're not supposed to eat 4 hours before class. Best practiced on an empty stomach [fruit, tea or water is okay I think].

ANDREA - [I love that you just called me girly-girl. lol] Yes, that's the same Cheryl. She's actually the co-owner of the studio. Eat woman! Especially since you're working out. It's okay to eat. Just don't over-do it. :)

VINCE - Woohoo - thank you!!

Way to go, Freee! I'm excited that your excited about something! And you were even strong n' limber enough to go a little beyond the beginner's class' moves. Radical! Trader Joe's is a funky cool store--great stuff.

Oh, and you asked in your comment-box from your previous post if I practice Yoga. I kinda do. I do like a combo of Yoga, Pilates, and my own moves. I just do what I like :-p And I do a meditative thing when I'm all nervous--if that counts for anything lol. "Quietly exist" gets repeated over and over in my head until I'm hearing is very slowly and I'm not a nervous wreak lol. I'm nerdly, ha!

I truly wish I had a yoga studio near me. It sounds like such a great way to get in shape and focus. I could certainly use some focus at this point, let me tell ya!

And you know what, Freee.....I say ENJOY those bundt cakes! Everybody has to have chocolate sometimes. In my case, it's about every 10 minutes. LOL

Love,
bridgett
