Week's Links

This week has been filled with mindlessness : playing games, watching junk TV and senseless movies.  It's probably better than looking at parotid tumor post-op pics on the 'net.

Sunday - Rearranged my room.  I do that about every six months [either that or I move!]  It looks and feels great in here but there's more to be done. Gotta paint the walls.

Monday - Watched Average Joe : Hawaii on TV - and liked it.  [scary stuff, people!]

Tuesday - Slept like the dead in the afternoon. [what the heck did I do Tuesday night???]

Wednesday - Dinner and dirty martini. Rented Uptown Girls. Love the cast but it's a weak, meaningless script.  Still I cried at the end, like a blubbering idiot! [damn vodka]

Tonight - Voted for my top 6 Friends episodes [AOL-only link].  I'm almost ashamed to say I was able to recite each clip, line for line.  It's a curse I think.  [Don't get me started on Will & Grace!]

I'm looking forward to the DVD/video release of the movie Thirteen.

I'm planning on seeing In America this weekend.  I've been hoping to see a movie for the past three weekends.  Still haven't made it.  ::crossing fingers::

Today - Counter breaks the 10,000 mark in Journey to Peace - and Freeepeace posts not one iota of substance!  Brilliant!

Ooooh!  Jennifer Anniston and Black Eyed Peas on SNL this week!

Sharky, you're great! I *do* remember those days...and we *have* come a long way. I've seen Thirteen. And I can't WAIT to see it again - it's INTENSE! The trailer for In America made me cry - then again so did Uptown Girls [don't know what's up with me] Now I'm watching the strangest exciting extreme reality sports show on SpikeTV [the "men's channel"] And I'm liking it! Seriously, what's my deal???

I still remember Smelly Cat, and that was a loooong time ago I love that song from friends. Smelly Cat Smelly Cat , What are they feeding you. I remember when they made a music video of it on an episode. Oh thanks for telling me who is on SNL , I love Black Eyed Peas. I love the song "Where is the Love" I was actually listening to the CD in my car on repeat today after hearing some bad news.

I am here to confess. I have the "Friends" CD. Personally, I'm thinking Mystic River is my weekend movie pick. :::crossing fingers too::: It's been forever.

Kind of cool to get a synopsis of your week. There's substance --between the lines. ---Robbie

Big "friends fans" here in our house too. Courtney Cox is from B'ham too! Not like I knew her or anything...she lived in the rich section. LOL! But, her dad's pool company put in my friend's pool. Small world. Thanks for the tip about SNL, we love to watch that too. Still haven't been to the movies. I need to work on that. Let us know if the movie's good! Love ya!

Robby - right! remember when they made a commercial out of it [guest star EG Daly - who now plays Tommy on Rugrats] hehehe And read further back in my journal for more on Black Eyed Peas :)

Irun - Uhh, I *know* Babyshark's first name is not Rachel. Watch yourself there. BUT she does have a sister who share's your wife's first name ::wink::

Karen - guess it sounds more exciting than it felt. mindless isn't ALL bad. :)

Robbie - CD as in soundtrack? or DVD? Cool either way! I fess up to being the proud owner of the Friends Trivia Game! Quick: What apartment number is on Monica's door?

Mia - LOL 'dad's pool company...friend's pool' Got it all covered there! hehe I know what you mean though... Joey's from Massachusetts. That alone gives me rights to ACT like I know him! LOL "How YOU doin'?" :P

I had to laugh picturing you doing a Joey impersonation. He is absolutely the BEST part of that show . . . well . . . . except for Rachel of course.

Does that mean you got over 100 hits today??? Whoa! The paratoid pics are scary.. I can definitely understand your fear better now. But some looked way better than others. And you have a GREAT doctor. So if it comes to that, you'll be ok.

You still haven't painted the walls?? Get on it, woman! LoL

W&G is about the only show in television that I can stomach. The rest is trash, in my O. HUGS!!! [Miss you.. I've been working too much!]

No substance? First off, you're crazy! Second, if journaling required substance I'd've been outta business a long time ago. LOL! Congrats on the 10,000 mark!!!! Coolness!!!

Congrats on the 10,000 mark! Sounds like you had a relaxing, laid back week. Hey, we all need one of those once in a while. I caught a little bit of Average Joe, hilarious. I didn't catch the Apprentice though, which is what I was really curious to see. I heart Thirteen is great.

How yuuuu doin? BTW: It's the CD. Music and sound bites from the show. I can't for the life of me think of the apartment #. I think Seinfeld's was 2B. But, I'm horrible about remembering details. Go figure. :-)

Congrats on the 10,000 mark ... wooo hooo! Here's a toast to YOU. :) I watched part of that Average Joe show too ~ surprised me. I also caught some of that apprentice show with Trump. Usually I don't catch much TV ... must have been the week for watching TV and being laid back a bit.

Sounds like a pretty cool week to me. LoL I saw one episode of the first Average Joe and thought that it could be addicting so best I stay away from it. I haven't the time for it at this moment :-/ That's amazing that you rearrange your room every 6 months! I haven't moved a thing in my room for....over 4 years. Me and change don't mesh lol. -- Kate xo

{{{Free}}} I'm so behind in my journal rounds and I see there's been much going on in your life. I'm glad Cheryl was with you at the ENT and I'm glad you've had plenty of rest. Happy Belated Birthday to Hunny.
