Venice Beach

">

Brrrr : Perfect day for SloMo's Texas Turkey Chili.

">

Heart and Home : On a nice day, Abraham and Diane have their art displayed in front of their trailers.  There they can be found playing music, painting and spreading the love.

">

Venice Boardwalk : A few blocks down the boardwalk is the Sidewalk Cafe, where this webcam sits.  The view is updated "every few seconds."  There's a link to a Venice website.  Get to know my neighborhood!

A mile north is this Santa Monica Pier webcam.

Ahh, Venice before it gets crazy with all the interesting peeps. I was there a few weeks ago for a send off dinner for a friend who's moving to Wisconsin (of all places!). We had the bon voyage dinner at C&O. I love how they segue into That's Amore at the end of the meal!

Oh, it looks sooooooo warm there! And you live near the beach, I do too but no palm trees anywhere, lol. I clicked on the web cam, but apparently it's only 5am there (forgot about the time difference) so it was too dark.

I love Venice! I seriously thought of moving there when I was looking for a place but I hate commuting and try to live as close to work as I can afford. :-) Thanks for the link to the webcam. I've saved it in my faves. I take my bike down to Venice and ride it from the Marina to Malibu. Great fun! --Robbie

girl, that is pure torture! It is 29 degrees and snowing here. Though it looks all Christmas-y here, I'm freezing my arse off!

nice pictures Freee! very nice. I have been to Venice, as a day trip sort of thing, when I lived in Anaheim. It's an interesting place to be sure....it doesn't seem very cold looking to me. :) but, I remember when I lived there, if it got down to 50-60, it seemed very cold indeed. especially during the summer, since it can reach up to 100 degrees or more.

You brat! Cold, my BUTT! What is it? 60-degrees? Huh? HUH?

I'd love to get to know your neighborhood. I wish I lived there. It looks like there's a lot to do. And the VIEWS! Holy cow.

OK, here's the scoop. We all want to see the Livingroom Superstar famous out in the real world, right? So, start by announcing what time of day you'll be in front of this web cam the next day and I'll tune in just to check out the best braless barefoot singer in California.

I love seeing these pictures of your surroundings. I really get a sense of who you are from the places you dwell. I'm at work right now, so I'll be sure to check your webcam links when I get back home.

This is a good idea. I think I need to show more of my city, my haunts. Places I love to visit, to eat, and places I see every day. See, you've inspired me too!! :)

I can't remember when we visited Venice Beach, I love going there. Santa Monica is my birthplace, but we live out here in Riverside county now. I wish to get down there soon, thanks for the pictures. GOOD LUCK for tonight Freee, have a wee nip of something before you get up there, to calm the nerves! Wish I could be there, I would clap the loudest :)
